Sci-Fi Bulletin: Exploring the Universes of SF, Fantasy, Horror and Spy-fi!

Wes Chu’s new trilogy of novels, The War Arts Saga, has been optioned for TV by Original Films and Sony Pictures TV.

According to Deadline, the trilogy is set in a world where martial arts are magic, and a grandmaster takes a spoiled would-be hero under her wing to fulfil his destiny of defeating an immortal god-king and ending a centuries-long war. Jason Ning will be writer, executive producer and showrunner, Chu’s earlier works include the Tao novels for Angry Robot, as well as Walking Dead and Shadowhunter books.
