Stephen King’s sci-fi story The Jaunt is going to series at MRC courtesy of Dave Erickson.
Deadline reports that Erickson will be showrunner on the series, which is set at a time where teleporting (or “Jaunting”) is commonplace… but there are certain rules which absolutely must be followed. The original story appeared in 1981 and was collected in Skeleton Crew.
“We’ve long admired Dave’s visionary creative work and are thrilled to welcome him to MRC,” Elise Henderson, President of MRC Television told Deadline. “A true master of his craft, he’s the ideal partner to build upon the work of Stephen King, and create and develop more originals as the studio continues to expand.”
