Peter S. Davis, producer of the original Highlander film and its sequels in various media, has died age 79.

Davis is credited with taking the original script and turning it into a successful 1986 movie with Christophe Lambert and Sean Connery, and then, alongside the late Bill Panzer, overseeing its development as a franchise. He was engaged with the latest reboot currently underway at Lionsgate.
