As Melissa Benoist retires from the role of Supergirl on TV, with the sixth season of her CW show being the last, a new Supergirl has emerged, who will be introduced in The Flash.

The Young and the Restless star Sasha Calle has been given the part. “I saw more than four hundred auditions,” director Andy Muschietti explained. “The talent pool was truly amazing and it was very hard to make a decision, but we finally found an actress who was destined to play this role.”

The Flash is currently shooting, starring Ezra Miller with appearances by multiple stars of DC movies past and present.
