The list of Stephen King adaptations for the large and small screens continues to expand, with news that Edgar Wright will be helming The Running Man for Paramount.

Based on the novel that King published as Richard Bachman initially, the story by Wright and Michael Bacall will be much closer to King’s original story than the Arnold Schwarzenegger movie.

Simon Kinberg will be producing the film, about a game show in which people are pursued by deadly hunters and have to try to stay alive for 30 days.
