HBO Max seems to be following the Disney route with Star Wars and expanding their Game of Thrones universe in all directions.

THR is suggesting that an animated series is being discussed with potential writers at the moment. At present only one series, House of the Dragon, is definitely proceeding, although indications are that Tales of Dunk and Egg is a serious contender.
