Sky has announced what they describe as their biggest ever lineup of new and exclusive output over the next few months, included in which are two genre projects.
Confirming our story from July last year, John Wyndham’s classic science fiction novel The Midwich Cuckoos is being given a modern adaptation for the screen by David Farr (The Night Manager) set to arrive next year.
And Extinction is a “propulsive action thriller about a man who joins an organisation that can turn back time in order to save the planet from catastrophic events.” Written by Joe Barton (Giri/Haji) it stars Paapa Essiedu (I May Destroy You), Tom Burke (Strike), Anjli Mohindra (Bodyguard) and Caroline Quentin (Men Behaving Badly). This is also set to arrive in 2022.
