Paddington’s Paul King is helming a prequel to Willy Wonka’s / Charlie and the Chocolate Factory for Warner Bros.

Wonka will arrive in 2023 and features “a young Willy Wonka and his adventures prior to opening the world’s most famous chocolate factory.” The character appeared in two books by Roald Dahl, the first of which has been filmed  twice with Gene Wilder and Johnny Depp playing Wonka.
