Discussing the release, writer and producer James Goss said: “The Torchwood team spend all their time running up and down saving the world but there are a lot of explosions, and you just think ‘What’s it actually like living down in the Bay when all that’s going on?’ And I was incredibly fascinated by where Ianto got the mug from the first time he meets Jack, which is where the idea for the story came from.”

Gareth David-Lloyd added: “It’s been lovely actually, taking a trip down memory lane. We’ve done the whole series of Torchwood in scenes-in-between, memories, and it’s nice to trip back and do the journey again in audio drama.”
