The HBO Max Batman spin-off has a new showrunner in British writer Joe Barton.

Barton is best known for creating Giri/Haji  and he contributed episodes to Humans and the BBC’s Troy.

The series is an accompaniment to Matt Reeves’ The Batman, and will examine the corruption in the Gotham City Police Department as a masked vigilante starts to cause them problems.
