Lucasfilm’s latest foray into the Star Wars universe, The High Republic, is a multimedia event, set before the events of the feature films at the height of the Jedi’s powers.

The “interconnected mega-story” launches this week with the release of the first novel Light of the Jedi by Charles Soule. Other stories in the pipeline are the middle-grade novel A Test of Courage by Justina Ireland, the YA novel Into the Dark by Claudia Gray, and two comic books, Cavan Scott’s Star Wars: The High Republic for Marvel and Star Wars: The High Republic Adventures by Daniel Jose Older at IDW. It’s also the period in which the new Disney+ series The Acolyte is set.
