In a major call with investors yesterday, Disney revealed its plans for multiple genre shows and films.

Of particular interest to Star Wars and The Mandalorian fans are two spin-offs from that show, the first featuring Rosario Dawson in a limited series centred on her character Ahsoka Tano, who has already appeared in animated form in multiple Star Wars stories prior to her live action debut this season.

There will also be a live action show based around The Rangers of the New Republic. Both are being overseen by Dave Filoni and Jon Favreau and one is expected to launch next Christmas, alongside The Mandalorian season 3.

Other newly announced live action shows include The Acolyte, a mystery-thriller from Leslye Headland “that will take viewers into a galaxy of shadowy secrets and emerging dark-side powers in the final days of the High Republic era” and Lando, a new event series in early development from Justin Simien based around Han Solo’s buddy,
