Vera Farmiga, Hailee Steinfeld and Florence Pugh are all on board Disney+’s Marvel series Hawkeye, centred around Jeremy Renner’s Cliff Barton.

Steinfeld will be playing Kate Bishop, a character who eventually dons the mantle of Hawkeye. According to Variety, Pugh will reprise her role as Yelena Belova, sister of the Black Widow, for the series, with Farmiga playing Bishop’s mother Eleanor (coincidentally the character name of an NCIS regular).

Fra Fee, Tony Dalton, Alaqua Cox, and Zahn McClarnon are also appearing; Fee will play a character named Kazi, probably short for Kazimierz Kazimierczak, known to Marvel fans as the mercenary villain Clown.

Dalton will play Jack Duquesne, expected to be the Marvel character Swordsman.

Cox will play Maya Lopez, aka Echo, a deaf Native American who is capable of perfectly copying another person’s movements, making her a formidable fighter. McClarnon will play William Lopez – anticipated to be a version of Echo’s father from the comics.

The series is now in production.
