Utopia has soured rather quicker for Amazon than Channel 4 – the streamer has not renewed Gillian Flynn’s reworking of the concept for a second run.

The first season was released in September, but didn’t receive wide acclaim – not helped by its central subject matter of a pandemic being rather too topical.
