Although Wonder Woman 1984 is heading to streaming services in the US, with a limited theatrical opening, Warner Bros. have confirmed that it will open in the UK on 16 December as planned.
The idea is to avoid piracy when the movie is released to HBO Max on Christmas Day, although there will be limited numbers of cinemas open in the UK (and France where it’s also opening.)
There’s no confirmation whether it will get an early streaming release as well.
