One of the stars of Black Lightning wouldn’t have been returning even if the show had gone on beyond its fourth year.
The news was confirmed on Friday that the CW show would end with its fourth season, but China Anne McLain (Jennifer Pierce aka Lightning) had already made her decision to leave, and will only be making a few appearances in the fourth year.
The actor informed her fans on Instagram that “God is moving me in more than one way than just this show. It’s bigger than this show. I’m doing God’s work now… and I’m not doing anything else.”
