You Were Never Really Here’s Lynne Ramsay will be directing the feature adaptation of Stephen King’s The Girl Who Loved Tom Gordon.

Ramsay and Christie Hall have penned the script for Village Roadshow from King’s 1999 short novel, about a nine year old girl who gets lost in the woods and begins to have conversations with legendary baseball player Tom Gordon while she believes she’s being stalked by something supernatural.

The movie is expected to start shooting next year.
