The Transformers may have found their new overlord – Creed 2’s Steven Caple Jr is anticipated to be helming the next movie in Paramount’s blockbuster film series.

Deadline are reporting that Caple is at the top of the list to direct the reboot based on the script by Joby Harold, one of two that the studio had in development simultaneously to revamp the franchise.

If a deal is struck, the new film can hopefully go into production during 2021.
