Sci-Fi Bulletin: Exploring the Universes of SF, Fantasy, Horror and Spy-fi!

An animated version of Terry Pratchett’s The Amazing Maurice will feature the voices of Hugh Laurie and Emilia Clarke.

David Thewlis, Himesh Patel, Gemma Arterton and Hugh Bonneville are voicing other characters, with the film co-directed by Toby Genkel and Florian Westermann.

Sky, Germany’s Ulysses Filmproduktion, Hamburg based animation Studio Rakete, UK-based Cantilever Media, and Sheffield based animation company Red Star Animation are joining forces for the project, in association with Narrativia. It’s based on the 2001 Discworld book by Pratchett.

The film will be released by Sky Cinema in the UK in 2022.
