Details are starting to emerge of Big Finish’s releases to mark Doctor Who spin-off Torchwood’s 15th birthday next year.

2021’s first tranche of full-cast Torchwood audio dramas has been revealed, with three monthly adventures confirmed for January to March.

May 2021 will see the release of a special Torchwood monthly adventure, number 50 in the range (details of which are being kept under wraps for now). Meanwhile, the first three titles and writers for the new year have been unveiled:

 January

Coffee by James Goss

February

Drive by David Llewelyn

 March

Lease of Life by Aaron Lamont

Already confirmed to return are Owen Harper (Burn Gorman), Ianto Jones (Gareth David-Lloyd) and Toshiko Sato (Naoko Mori), with more special guests to be revealed along the way.

Producer of Big Finish’s Torchwood range, James Goss, said: “2021 is Torchwood’s fifteenth year and sees our fiftieth regular release come out.

“We’ve got a lot of joys planned – starting with our January release Coffee which celebrates the first three series of Torchwood from the point-of-view of the owners of a café in Cardiff Bay.

“We’ve also got Owen investigating the worst flat share in the world and Tosh teams up with a taxi driver to save the city.

“Beyond that, subscribers to the monthly range will get a real treat with the fiftieth release. We’re also looking at doing something really lovely to celebrate Torchwood’s fifteenth anniversary (we’ve been recording it for over a year and are still going!) and there’ll be several other special releases.”

All confirmed Torchwood monthly releases are available for individual pre-order as collector’s edition CDs at £10.99 or on download from the Big Finish website at £8.99.

Followers of the Big Finish Torchwood range can save money by pre-ordering a bundle of stories. A six-release bundle is £60 on CD or £50 on download – or save even more money by ordering all twelve of the latest Torchwood releases together at £110 on CD or £94 on download.
