Jordan Peele will be producing a remake of the Wes Craven horror The People Under the Stairs.

Collider is reporting that the original 1991 movie will be produced by Peele’s Monkeypaw banner, but it’s not certain what level of involvement Peele himself will have.

Craven had been working on a TV version of the concept – about a young boy and two adult thieves who become trapped in a house belonging to a strange couple known as the Robesons after breaking in to steal their rare coin collection and  find a lot more than they bargained for waiting for them in the basement – prior to his death in 2015.
