Ashley Romans and Olivia Thirlby have joined the cast of Y: The Last Man, replacing Lashana Lynch and Imogen Poots, as the series gets underway in Toronto.
These are just the latest cast changes on the show – Ben Schnetzer replaced Barry Keoghan back in February, while Timothy Hutton’s role as the President has been reworked and will be recast.
Y: The Last Man, based on the comic by Brian K. Vaughan and Pia Guerra, is set in a post-apocalyptic world in which a cataclysmic event decimates every mammal with a Y chromosome but for one cisgender man and his pet monkey. The series follows the survivors in this new world as they struggle with their efforts to restore what was lost and the opportunity to build something better. Eliza Clark is showrunner, and the series is expected to air on Hulu next year.
