Donald Sutherland and Eme Ikwuakor have joined Halle Berry, Patrick Wilson, Stanley Tucci, John Bradley and Charlie Plummer on Roland Emmerich’s Moonfall.
The SF adventure is currently starting shooting in Montreal, and, according to Deadline, is about a mysterious force that knocks the Moon from its orbit around Earth and sends it hurtling on a collision course with life as we know it. With only weeks before impact, a ragtag team launches a last-ditch mission into space to land on the lunar surface and save the planet from annihilation. (This may ring bells with fans of a certain Jerry Bruckheimer movie…)
Sutherland will play an archive keeper who is one of the few to know the truth about the Apollo moon landings of the 1970s.
