Tim Burton may be returning to the small screen for the first time since overseeing the Beetlejuice cartoon series.
He’s set his sights on The Addams Family, according to Deadline, with the aim of executive producing and possibly directing all the episodes of the series. Smallville’s Alfred Gough and Miles Millar would be showrunners. The suggestion is a contemporary take for the show, using Wednesday as the protagonist.
The cartoons were originally created by Charles Addams, and have spawned numerous feature films – live action and animated – as well as a TV series.
