Twelve new Star Trek stamps, painted by Freya Betts, are going on sale in the UK on November 13.

The stamps celebrate the franchise from the original series right up to Star Trek Discovery.

Every Star Trek captain and more key characters from all six principal TV series appear in this set of all 12 Star Trek First Class Special Stamps.

Each stamp character appears against a backdrop capturing reflective details of their show.

“Twelve new illustrations celebrate British actors who have boldly explored the final frontier as Starfleet captains or crew members.”

This may come as a shock to some of those depicted – but more likely refers to the Star Trek movie stamps also coming in November as seen in the joint image (right)
