Marge Champion, who was the physical model for Snow White in the Disney 1937 classic, has died aged 101.
Champion was a renowned dancer, whose movements inspired not just Snow White but also the Blue Fairy in Pinocchio and the tutu-wearing hippo ballerinas in the “Dance of the Hours” number in Fantasia. She and her husband were choreographers for many Broadway musicals, films and TV shows.
