Even though some cinemas are beginning to open in New York state, studios are clearly still unwilling to gamble on there being sufficient audiences this year.

Candyman is now set for August 27, 2021 after hopes faded for its release this autumn. The movie is seen as a “spiritual successor” to the original film.

Ghostbusters: Afterlife will now open on June 11, 2021 – it had previously been moved to March.
