Director Stephen Daldry has stepped down from helming the movie version of Wicked!, the alternate take on the events of The Wizard of Oz.

This is due to constraints of the COVID-19 pandemic, Deadline reports, as shooting in London isn’t feasible. Based on the Stephen Schwartz musical, from Gregory Maguire’s book, it shows us the land of Oz from a distinctly new perspective.
