MGM has acquired rights to Mercy Sparx, the Devil’s Due comic book created by Josh Blaylock.

Described as similar in tone to Constantine, the series is about female demon sent from Hell to Earth on a mission, which she must complete while hiding among humans, according to Deadline. On Earth, Mercy has an existential crisis and begins to see the grey area between good and evil which forces her to choose her place within it and compromises her mission.

Nick Shafir is scripting the adaptation with Blaylock executive producing the movie.
