Mad Max spin-off Furiosa is a go at Warner Bros – with a new star playing the character at a younger age.
Anya Taylor-Joy will be headlining the production, directed by George Miller. Chris Hemsworth and Yahya Abdul-Mateen II will also star in the film which will be a prequel to Mad Max: Fury Road. Miller co-wrote the script with Nico Lathouris which is designed to be a standalone. There’s no shoot date as yet, but it’s in advanced pre-production according to Deadline.

Hmmm. This makes me wary; Charlize Theron gave the character a LOT of power. It’s like Robert Downey Jr. happily announcing there’s a third Sherlock Holmes movie in the works, only it doesn’t include Guy Ritchie. Veeery wary about that, too.
