No, not a plea by Mark Bonnar  – the latest in the Big Finish freebies takes us back five years to the introduction of one of Big Finish’s most iconic characters – The Eleven, played by Bonnar.

October 2015 marked the debut of the Eleven, the terrifying rogue Time Lord adversary of the Eighth Doctor. Now, for a limited time, his first adventure is available completely free.

To celebrate the fifth anniversary of the award-winning full-cast audio drama series Doctor Who: Doom Coalition, Big Finish is giving listeners the chance to download part one, The Eleven, by Matt Fitton, exclusively from the website’s Weekly Deals page at https://www.bigfinish.com/collections/v/weekly-deals free for one week only.

The Eleven. A Time Lord whose previous personalities live on in his mind: arguing, plotting, jostling for supremacy… He is also Gallifrey’s most dangerous criminal. And he has escaped.

The Doctor is recalled to his homeworld to lead the hunt. As they search the Capitol’s corridors of power, the Academy halls and the cells of the highest security penitentiary, Liv realises the worst monsters may be among the Doctor’s own people.

For inside his fractured mind, the Eleven has a plan. And its deadly consequences will extend through space and time…

Featuring an all-star cast, including Paul McGann (Doctor Who, Alien 3), Nicola Walker (Spooks)Robert Bathurst (Downtown Abbey) and Sylvester McCoy (Doctor Who), this exciting audio adventure also introduces Mark Bonnar (Line of Duty) as the Eleven.

Director Ken Bentley said: “You need a brave actor to tackle a character like the Eleven and Mark’s body of work speaks for itself. He has the acting chops to do it.”

Producer David Richardson added: “I remember the moment he popped into my head, and I said to Ken: ‘A Time Lord villain. All of his incarnations still live inside his head at the same time. There are 11 of them, so he’s called the Eleven’. That’s who he is and the brief hasn’t changed along the way.

The Eleven is like the pilot episode for the whole series, if you like. It brings the Doctor back to Gallifrey with Liv where the Eleven has escaped from his incarceration and is on the rampage. It’s a great thriller.”

For a limited time only, Big Finish listeners can also get up to 55% OFF volumes 1-4 of the Doctor Who: Doom Coalition series on collector’s edition CDs, or download, at the Weekly Deals page.

Plus, the complete Doctor Who: Doom Coalition series is available at £72 either as a collector’s edition CD box set or download, when bought together as a bundle.

All the above offers end at 23:59 (UK time) on 18 October 2020.
