Ice Cube is returning to science fiction with an as yet untitled project for Timur Bekmambetov

The Ghosts of Mars star will take advantage of new technology during the shoot of the movie, described as “a grounded sci-fi film in the vein of District 9 that touches on themes of privacy versus surveillance” according to Deadline. The technology will allow fully remote filming, so all actors and crew can work from separate locations – something that is seen as a way forward in the current COVID-19 pandemic.
