Netflix has acquired the rights to The Hunt for Atlantis, based on the novel by Andy McDermott.

It’s the first of 15 books in what’s become known as the Wilde/Chase sequence, centred around brilliant NYU grad student Nina Wilde and cavalier ex-SAS British bodyguard Eddie Chase who are sent on a worldwide treasure hunt by a tech billionaire. Similar in concept to CBS’ Blood & Treasure and the short-lived Sky series Hooten and the Lady, it requires a global canvas – something that may be harder to achieve in the post-COVID-19 landscape.
