Speaking at the DC FanDome, Stargirl creator Geoff Johns promised that the show’s second year, purely on the CW, will feature much drawn from the series’ comic book roots.
“I’m so excited to be doing season two with everybody because we have so many other things to explore with these characters and other avenues and other characters that existed in the world to meet and introduce,” he said. “We’ll do it the best way we can and will do it our own pace.”
Solomon Grundy will be returning, and there’ll be more focus on Dr Midnite’s pet owl Hooty.
Courtney Whitmore stars in the series, which can be seen in the UK now on Amazon Prime, and will return in the US in 2021.
