The Matrix and John Wick star Keanu Reeves has a new graphic novel, BRZRKR, in preparation and has turned to Kickstarter to fund it.

It’s described as “a graphic novel series about an immortal warrior seeks only one thing: the truth about his blood-soaked existence… and how to end it!”

BRZRKR is the first comic book and graphic novel series from Reeves, who makes his comic book writing debut alongside New York Times best-selling co-writer Matt Kindt (Folklords, Justice League of America), artist Ron Garney (Wolverine, Captain America),  Eisner and Harvey Award-nominated colourist Bill Crabtree (BPRD), and letterer Clem Robins (Hellboy) in a brutally violent new series about one immortal warrior’s fight through the ages. The book is being prepared by BOOM! Studios.

The man known only as Berzerker is half-mortal and half-God, cursed and compelled to violence…even at the sacrifice of his sanity. But after wandering the world for centuries, Berzerker may have finally found a refuge – working for the U.S. government to fight the battles too violent and too dangerous for anyone else. In exchange, Berzerker will be granted the one thing he desires – the truth about his endless blood-soaked existence…and how to end it.

BRZRKR will be released in 12 epic comic book chapters and collected in 3 beautiful graphic novel volumes, each containing 4 comic book chapters (issues). Each graphic novel is a 7”x10”, 128 page full colour book. Through this Kickstarter, we are offering the opportunity to pre-order all 3 graphic novels (384 pages total!) and receive them directly to your home as they are released in September 2021 (Volume 1), April 2022 (Volume 2), and September 2022 (Volume 3). Shipping costs – which may be prohibitive to those outside North America – are listed at the foot of the Kickstarter page.
