Unsurprisingly, the new Chucky TV series won’t now be entering production until 2021.

The show is set to shoot in Toronto, but according to Deadline, the producers are hoping that it can still make it to air on USA Network and Syfy next year.

After a vintage Chucky doll turns up at a suburban yard sale, an idyllic American town is thrown into chaos as a series of horrifying murders begin to expose the town’s hypocrisies and secrets.

Brad Dourif will be returning as the voice of Chucky, with Jennifer Tilly also in the cast.
