Paul Magrs’ series of books about Brenda & Effie have a new lease of life today with their republication by Snowbooks, and the release of a new chapter.

The series follows the adventures of Brenda – formerly known as The Bride of Frankenstein – who now runs a B&B in Whitby. In the new book, A Game of Crones, “we do battle with vampires and mummies and haunted cats! We uncover the mystery of both Elephant Men and meet Tolstoy the Long-Eared Bat out of Hell! Brenda also gets to go back to her roots with Baron Frankenstein, and we even share an investigation at the Christmas Hotel with the famous Sherlock Holmes.
