Nicolas Cage will voice the title character and executive produce a TV series for Amazon Prime Video based on Eoin Colfer’s recent adult fantasy novel, Highfire.

The book relates the story of one of the last dragons in the world, who’s hiding out in the Southern states of America, enjoying his vodka and watching cable TV. When a young human, Squib, gets in trouble with local crooks, their lives intertwine.

Davey Holmes is adapting the book, and will executive produce alongside Cage.
