The continent-crossing Invasion series from Apple TV, starring Jurassic Park’s Sam Neill, is back in production in the UK.

Deadline reports that the six-month hiatus on shooting caused by COVID-19 is now over, and filming for the four main locations – New York, Manchester, Japan and Morocco – can now start.  Shamier Anderson, Golshifteh Farahani  Firas Nassar and Shioli Kutsuna co-star in the series, created by X-Men’s Simon Kinberg and David Weil.

According to Deadline, Neill plays Sheriff John Bell Tyson, a weathered rural lawman on the verge of retirement. Anderson is Trevante Ward, an extraordinary soldier stationed in Afghanistan. Farahani portrays Aneesha Malik, first generation Syrian immigrant, wife and mother living in Long Island. Nassar is Ahmed Malik, Aneesha’s husband and a Syrian immigrant and successful businessman. Kutsuna plays Mitsuki, an intelligent member of mission control in Japan’s space program JASA.
