The first season of Star Trek: Discovery will be aired on CBS this autumn, with the show starting on September 24.

Up until now the show has only be available in the US via the streaming CBS All Access service, or on home entertainment media.

The airing of the first season will overlap with the release of Season 3 of the show on CBS All Access on October 15,

“This is hardly a traditional fall season, but we are prepared with a strong slate of original content while our regular scripted series begin production,” Kelly Kahl, President, CBS Entertainment explained. “Based on our current timeline, we hope to start rolling out our previously announced fall series as they become available in November.”

Many of the regular CBS shows, such as NCIS, are resuming filming early next month.
