There’ll be no more trips to the City of Angels from the Penny Dreadful team, after Showtime pulled the plug on a second season.
“Showtime has decided not to move forward with another season of Penny Dreadful: City of Angels. We would like to thank executive producers John Logan, Michael Aguilar and the entire cast and crew for their outstanding work on this project,” the cable network explained.
Inevitably there are calls for another streaming service, such as Netflix, to pick up the show, which starred Natalie Dormer in multiple roles.
