Ready Player Two, Ernest Cline’s sequel to his Ready Player One will be getting an audio version courtesy of genre stalwart Wil Wheaton.

Ready Player One (also narrated by Wheaton) was adapted into Steven Spielberg’s blockbuster film of the same name. The audiobook will publish simultaneously with the hardcover and ebook editions on November 24, 2020 and is now available for pre-order.

The audiobook for Ready Player One was the inaugural #1 New York Times audio fiction best seller when that list launched in March 2018, and was the first book to ever hit #1 in print, ebook, and audio formats.  The book went on to spend 7 months on the New York Times audio bestsellers list in addition to over 100 weeks on New York Times print bestsellers lists.

The Ready Player One book and audiobook have been featured on hundreds of “best of” lists around the world, and received numerous honours, including the Alex Award, and was voted one of America’s 100 Most Loved books of all time in PBS’s “The Great American Read.”

In addition to his memorable TV and film roles, including in Stand by Me, Star Trek: The Next Generation, Flubber, and The Big Bang Theory, Wheaton is an acclaimed voice actor and listener-favourite narrator, also performing Cline’s Armada and books by John Green and Randall Munroe.
