Could there be yet more adventures for the KITT and the Knight-2000? Could Michael Knight save the day yet again? Can another man make a difference?

According to Deadline, a new version aimed at cinema release is in preparation at Spyglass working with James Wan and Michael Clear. TJ Fixman is set to pen the script which Deadline says will “maintain the anti-establishment tone of the original” (which is an interesting interpretation of the Glen A. Larson series from the 1980s.)

Knight Rider originally ran from 1982-86 (and is released by Fabulous Films in the UK), with a spin-off movie, Knight Rider 2000 in 1991. Knight Rider 2010 followed in 1994, and the series Team Knight Rider featured in the 1997-98 schedules. A reboot, that ignored everything bar the original series, aired from 2008-09 (with Val Kilmer voicing KITT).

The most recent incarnation was a comicbook from IDW.
