The Handmaid’s Tale star Elisabeth Moss will be starring in and executive producing Apple TV’s adaptation of Lauren Beukes’ time travelling thriller The Shining Girls.

The book dealt with a time-traveling Depression-era drifter who must murder the “shining girls” in order to continue his travels. Moss will star as a Chicago reporter who survived a brutal assault only to find her reality shifting as she hunts down her attacker. Silka Luisa will be penning the adaptation and showrunning the series.
