During lockdown, Supermarionation experts Stephen La Rivière and Andrew T. Smith came up with an all-new series, very much in the mould of the early 1960s series such as Fireball XL5. Filmed in a London flat, the five episodes – and two faux commercials – have gained a worldwide following, with hundreds of thousands of views, proving, if there was ever any doubt, that there is still very much a market for Supermarionation adventures.

Early on in the process, Sci-Fi Bulletin chatted with La Rivière, who told us

I’m happy we’ve achieved our original goal – which was to bring a little distraction and hopefully entertainment to people in difficult situations. Anything on top of that will simply be nice.
