A Silurian detective, her human lady’s maid and wife, and a Sontaran butler – otherwise known as the Paternoster Gang. Their adventures started during Steven Moffat’s era of Doctor Who and have continued successfully on audio courtesy of Big FInish. The latest box set concludes with Roy Gill’s Truth and Bone which sees a Sontaran Requisitioner travel to Earth.

There’s some lovely moments in Gill’s script (one exchange between Vastra and Stark will have you laughing out loud) and Neve McIntosh, Catrin Stewart and Starkey’s performances are as strong as ever.
