Hanna’s David Farr is working on a new adaptation of John Wyndham’s The Midwich Cuckoos for Sky.
The 1957 novel, which tells of events in a sleepy English village which is mysteriously cut off from the outside world for a short period, after which all women of child-bearing age are pregnant, has been adaptated a number of times, notably with George Sanders in the 1960 version, Village of the Damned, and Christopher Reeve in the 1995 remake from John Carpenter.
According to Deadline, the new version will be an eight-part series.
