CBS’s genre show Evil will be arriving in the UK from the end of 2020, after rights to the show were acquired by Alibi.
Described as a “psychological mystery that examines the origins of evil along the dividing line between science and religion. The series focuses on a sceptical female psychologist who joins a priest-in-training and a contractor as they investigate the Church’s backlog of unexplained mysteries, including supposed miracles, demonic possessions and hauntings. Their job is to assess if there is a logical explanation or if something truly supernatural is at work”, Evil was created by Robert and Michelle King, and includes Farscape creator Rockne S. O’Bannon as one of its executive producers. (Read our exclusive interview with O’Bannon about the show here).
It stars Mike Colter, Katja Herbers, Aasif Mandivi and Michael Emerson. The show has been picked up for a second year, with a virtual writers’ room convening during the COVID-19 pandemic.
