The legendary comics writer and editor Dennis “Denny” O’Neil has passed away, aged 81.
Famed for his work at both DC and Marvel, O’Neil’s work for DC on the Batman comics is regarded as one of the book’s strongest periods, while at Marvel, his many accomplishments include hiring Frank Miller for the Daredevil book, as well as writing acclaimed Spider-Man, Iron Man and Daredevil stories. O’Neil also turned to scripting, including episodes of Logan’s Run and Superboy.
