RIchard Herd, best known to genre fans for his role in the original V and Star Trek: Voyager, has died aged 87.
Herd played the Supreme Commander of the Visitor forces in the two V miniseries, and played the Klingon L’Kor on Star Trek: The Next Generation before his role as Admiral Paris (father of Tom Paris) on Voyager, a role he reprised for fan series Renegades. He also appeared in seaQuest DSV, Quantum Leap and Buffy the Vampire Slayer.
One of his first films was Hercules in New York in 1970 alongside Arnold Schwarzenegger and he was one of the members of the Enterprise Blues Band.
